Sumdrup, originally from Naar Phuu Village, which is at the elevation of 4080 feet. He wears fox fur hat, bakhu (Tibetan dress) and holds kuto (device used dig out yarshagumba). He could afford to switch place to Braaga village, 12 years ago, due to his success in medicinal trade. He lost his wife to cancer and has 3 sons who are monks at Pulahari Monastery in Kathmandu, and one daughter, Karma Gurung Dolma.
Upon interviewing, he said, he has no problem in picking yarshagumba because this insect has no blood.
